From Rock Springs to Central City

It's still sunny in Wyoming - and we're still driving east - trying to reach Central City in Colorado tonight. We had to made a stop - probably filling our! Ford Flex with gas and ourselves with some food - there are truckers and trailers all over - serving whoever. This little chapel was for the drivers - I liked that - we all need a place thats just "ours"

The small black "dots" are either cows or bulls - there're lots of them in Wyoming. You see the "snowfence" - it's probably windy during wintertime - so they put theese fences up along Interstate 80 and the road are snowfree - in a way! I don't know - I have'nt been there in January or February!

In Cheyenne we thurned south from Interstate 80 into Interstate 25 driving into The State of Colorado. My first sight of the land where Lina Dorthinusdaughter settled down.

This is Denver - we just past through...............................

............ending up here - Denvers Bass Pro Shops - I like the sign above the front door! Welcome fishermen, hunters and other liars!

It's impossible to explain how big - how many items - how huge this store is. You have to visit it by yourself! I did find this pink bow and arrow - something for all the pink scrappers in the world.

This picture is not good - but it's the only one I have - it shows the entrance to both Central City and Golden.

Okay - this is it - the main entrance to Central City and Linas American home county. I'll tell more about Lina and Jennifer later.

Thank you for visiting this story - this trip - this eventure we had. Enjoy!

Driving east to Rock Springs

It was wonderful sunshine in Winnemucca. And this beautiful Peterbilt had parked just beside our! Ford Flex I couldn't resist it - I had to have a picture!

You can't drive through America without stopping at McDonald's - neither could we - a cold cup of icy coffee - delicious!

This is Utah - "the salty desert" or Bonneville Salt Flats. Here's a site for car enthusiasts!

This is 37,1 miles - 60,1 kilometers - straight ahead - and I mean straight as a ruler!

Driving Interstate 80 - eastbound - this is all we saw - this is The Great Salt Lake - west of Salt Lake City. We didn't have time to stop - we have an appointment in Central City tomorrow.

A salt factory?

Salt Lake City was the host of The Winter Olympics in 2002 - and this is The Utah Olympic Park - the venue for Nordic Ski Jumping. Norway didn't take any medal this Olympics!

The American way.......................

We met them - The Windmills - all over - making power by the wind.........................I like that!

Just around the corner is Rock Springs in Colorado - we spent one night - travelling further east - trying to reach Colorado tomorrow. The SUN has been with us today - around 95 Farenheit - I love it! We have an excellent AC in our! Ford Flex - the boys love that!

The SUN has come to The Stangeland and my garden is waiting for me! Have a nice and warm and sunny Sunday - we need it - the wintertime is nearby! Keep cool and thank you for visiting my blog - I sure would visit yours when you leave a comment! And don't forget - enjoy!

Downtown Seattle

Hey - this is The Space Needle - a high tower - with a restaurant on the top - downtown in Seattle. We just passed it on the street - and I am glad we did - I am not found at all - in high heights!

This is a newer building - cute?? We did not enter this one either!

They do sell wood too - downtown Seattle - during summertime!

Thanks to The Timmons - who made our stay superb!! This is my son and my brother on the front porch - greeting the American Flag.

We are having a wonderful trip - seeing so much - beeing friends and just cruising around in over! Ford Flex! Thanks for visiting my blog! Take care and stay friends!

America so far is huge, it's green and it's flat. And we just luv it! Her skulle du ha vøri, Andreas!

We drove from Ottestad at 0500 am - to Gardermoen - then Stockholm - and then finally Chicago, Illinois. We flew Airbus - and it took nearly ten hours from Sweden to Illinois. We picked up this car - a Ford! - and drove to Rochester in Minnesota and went to bed at 0400 am - Saturday!

Sunday hot and warm and sunny! From Rochester in Minnesota to Rapid City in South Dakota. Shopped at Wal-Mart and then hit the Interstate 90. Just a minor stop at 1880 town.
