Happy Birthday!

Last week i did read - Ett Trykk - a fabulous magazine for cardmakers and scrappers.  And I do scrap! 
It was a rainy day and I discovered the card article with tealight - it's written by one of Norways best cardmaker - Lena Katrine!  Lena Katrines card is wonderful!  Thank you so very much for the good description - how to make!  Yesterday a third cousine of mine had her Birthday - Congratulation! 

It's Basic Grey paper and ordinary plain cardboard.

I always ink my scrapbooing and cards with Archival Ink, Sepia Color from Ranger - I just love that one!

I use the Tim Holtz ink blending tool - it's beautiful!

This is how I do the gluing...

I love embossing!  Here is one stamp from Stempleglede and one from Stampit - I have embossed with Rangers Antiquities Frosted Crystal.

The flowers from Kort & Godt are Glimmer Misted with Tattered Leather and Pink Ink from Tattered Angels.

A used a picture from Gudrun Loenneckens collection with vintagepapers on the matchbox - from Minnehjørnet.

Inside the card i embossed a border from the Grunge Collection made by Stempelglede - marvelous!

I used two small magnets to lock the card...

From Folsom to Winnemucca

Yesterday we spent downtown Sacramento - visiting Sutters Fort and Sutter General Hospital. Having a splendid lunch at Golden Corral - a kitchen you never forget!
Michaels in Folsom got my sparetime in the afternoon. It's a shame to say - but I spent only 131 dollars! I bought some punches from Martha Stewart - and some other stuff!
We had a fantastic dinner with our cousins - thanks Brent and Mona, welcome to Norway - anytime!
The next day we drove east - this is The Sierra Nevadas

Lake Tahoe is a lake in California and Nevada - we did the California west side. It was marwellous - the sea - the road - the heights - the small houses - and the huge ones - the bikes and all the people. And the weather - it was sunnuy - and between 80 - 95 Farenheit!

This is Washoe Lake - a bit south of Reno - The gambling city next to Las Vegas! We just drove throught the town - only stopping at Starbucks Coffee Company - Potterybarn - Sears - and filling the Ford Flex with some gasoline.

After some 330 american miles we spent the night in this city - Winnemucca! Having a chicken dinner at KFC!
