Last week i did read - Ett Trykk - a fabulous magazine for cardmakers and scrappers. And I do scrap!
It was a rainy day and I discovered the card article with tealight - it's written by one of Norways best cardmaker - Lena Katrine! Lena Katrines card is wonderful! Thank you so very much for the good description - how to make! Yesterday a third cousine of mine had her Birthday - Congratulation!
It's Basic Grey paper and ordinary plain cardboard.
I always ink my scrapbooing and cards with Archival Ink, Sepia Color from Ranger - I just love that one!
Here are the tealights waiting for their new home!
I use the Tim Holtz ink blending tool - it's beautiful!
This is how I do the gluing...
I love embossing! Here is one stamp from Stempleglede and one from Stampit - I have embossed with Rangers Antiquities Frosted Crystal.
Martha Stewart edger - love them!
The flowers from Kort & Godt are Glimmer Misted with Tattered Leather and Pink Ink from Tattered Angels.
A used a picture from Gudrun Loenneckens collection with vintagepapers on the matchbox - from Minnehjørnet.
So Happy Birthday, Ingeborg!
Here are the flowers coverd with some glitter...
Inside the card i embossed a border from the Grunge Collection made by Stempelglede - marvelous!
I used two small magnets to lock the card...
The front...
...and the back of the card - using nestabilities from Spellbinders - and "my stamp" are from Lisbets Scrapmagasinet.
I had a splendid week-end - and I really love this craft - thank you for looking into my blog and do not forget - enjoy...

I did this layout a long time ago. It's my fathers mother and his aunt. They both lived at Flisa in Åsnes and they had four children, each. They even died before they turned 70 years old. But I got to know them - a tiny bit - just for a few years - I wonder what if I had known them better - would I've then been doing geneology? Or... who knows... anyway I'm glad I met them. Very...
My Grandmother, Mimi Martinsdaughter Langerud Nymoen, born 20. August 1898 at Snapholt, Hof in Solør, Åsnes County, Hedmark.
My Grandmothers sister, Margit Ovidia Martinsdaughter Langerud Linna, born 6. February 1903 at Flissundet, Åsnes County, Hedmark.
Margit married Olav Syversen Linna 12. July 1923 in Åsnes Church. They got four children, Syver Asbjørn, Ole Martin, Eva Marie and Bjørn Harald.
Margit Ovida died at Flisa 17. February 1971 and her housbond Syver died 6. November 1941. They are both burried at Åsnes Curch Cemetary.
My Grandmother Mimi married my Grandfather Einar Karlotson Nymoen 31. October 1925. My Grandfather, Einar was born 4. September 1898 at Råberget, Hof in Solør, Åsnes County, Hedmark.
Mimi and Einar had four children, Marit, Inger Marie, Ola Martin and Eivind. Marit and my father are not with us anymore, Marit died 4. May 1995 and my father passed away 19. March 2005.
Mimi died 24. Februar 1965 and Einar died 1. September 1986. They are burried at Åsnes Church Cemetary.
Enjoy your day...I have to pick up Nichlasen, he's coming by train from Oslo...he dosn't have a drivers license...

Today is Norways Birthday. Our Constitution Day. Congratulation!
"A day to honor freedom, our rich heritage and our common bond as citizens of this great country" I borrowed this sentence - It says it all.
Nichlasen is in Oslo with his father - Varg and I are home alone - doing nothing! This is a day to reflect over our freedom and to celebrate. We the Norwegian people have a lot to be proud of and to remember.
Today is The day when everybody! talks about the weather - here on HedEmarken it's grey with some ray of sunshine - it's 13 Celsius pluss and 55 Farenheit.
We do have bunads / national costumes from nearly every part of Norway. This is the Solør Odal Bunad. Even though I don't live in Solør anylonger - I'm Solung in my heart! So it was easy to choose which bunad I should wear!
This layout I did some years ago. It's not the layout you should focus on - but the picture.
It's my aunt Randi waving the Norwegian Flag in Kaffegata - The Street of Flisa - on 17th of May 1941. My Grandfather Simon commanded his children out in the snow - with the flag - and he did take some marvelous pictures this day - even tough The World War II was going on in Norway.
The handsome young man is my uncle Johan - he passed away in 2004. You can see the famouc birches in Kaffegata behind my mother Grethe.
This is my Grandfather - Simon Andreas Johannesson Holter - 1898-1969. He dared in 1941. I think he belived in freedom for everyone, he was strict - very! and he was conservative...I think.
Have a nice day - where ever you are and enjoy...Hipp Hipp Hurra!
05 Mai 2010
During the last week-end I scrapped - it's been a while since I did that. It was fun and enjoyable! I know that scrapping is me. I love it.
My aunt - Randi - is 80 years old today. Happy Birthday to You! This card is on it's way to you - you might even got it today - I hope so. Anyway - it was a pleasure to make the card and the CD to you.

Papers and flowers from Prima
Butterflies from Spellbinders
Floral borders from Provo Craft
Tools from Tim Holtz
Enjoy...
My mother and I made a CD with some old photoes from "forna dar"! Hope you like them?
So this was mine National Scrapbooking Day / Week-end...how was yours? Enjoy...
25 April 2010
I'm not a very good blogger - right now. Varg is taking a lot of time - but he's a gorgeous little puppy. My garden is a mess - I didn't do much last fall - getting that now! I have a wonderful job - but demanding - and I just love it. Then I have some voluntary things that I have to keep on track. That's why I haven't been scrapping or attending any crops lately - and I don't like that. I feel I'm missing the connection to the scrapbooking social set and all my scrap! friends.
Like Scarlett O`Hara said - Tomorrow, yes tomorrow - it's always another day! It's no excuse - I'm looking foreward to Mjøstreff - The Gathering for Scrappers and Cardmakers - A huge thanks to Scrappe Lise and Moia! Take a good and long peek in their blogs - they are just some of the best scrappers and cardmakers I know!
This layout - well I 've used a looong time making this one. It's me sitting on my fathers back, waving to my mother. The picture is taken either at Svullrya - a small place in Grue County or Kjølaberget in Åsnes County. Anyway, I used to say aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa all the time - must have turned my parents "crazy"

There's so many beautiful Bind It All creations around. I just love watching the creativeness that's in many blogs. I've been "buying" a new adressbook for so long - but I bought the Bind-It-All instead. I've made two books - one for adresses and one for birthdays!
Some papers with numbers - some with letters and some thin cardboard with plain lines.......
...measured to fit my cardboard covers...
...making holes with my bind-it-all-machine
...like this
...I've used papers from Graphic 45 and Making Memories for my Birthdaybook
...some stuffing into the wire
...embellishments from Tim Holtz I just love his scrapbookingstuff
...this is my Birthdaybook - I'm going to create or buy some plates with all the twelve months
...this is my adressbook
All made by using my bind-it-All. Have a nice Sunday and don't forget...enjoy!
